My current exhibition works are focusing on Australian bush flowers and their healing properties. Indigenous Australians used bush plants and flowers to heal and nourish their bodies for tens of thousands of years. I have used bush flower essences over many years and want to share my connection to them in my ceramics and paintings. I throw vessel forms, then use the surface of the clay to paint and draw layers of colour.  Finally carving back through the painted surface creates a multi layered visual experience for the viewer.
